[Something shifts, although despite the length of this lazy-ass prose, it takes a minute. Sort of like how the harsh summer heat gives way to the colors and cool nature of fall.
Dandy brings a hand back to Hagakure's face, cupping a cheek.
Yes, a face cheek.]
You don't think you could pick up a girl at a bar, if things were just normal?
And, not, uh... Full of death?
I'm guessin' you haven't really been to one lately.
[Hagakure doesn't resist the gesture. His cheek is warm to the touch, and a little wet in one spot.]
No, not lately.
[It's been even longer than it feels like, what with his missing memories.]
I never had all that much luck before, but...I guess I'd have a way better shot now, after everything you've taught me.
[Horrifying, but also true. While Dandy is boorish, insensitive and crude, his softer side has really shone through too. The genuine life lessons he's given to Hagakure will certainly go a long way.]
[Dandy lets out a goofy laugh, amused by Hagakure's adorable attempt at flirtation. His lack of experience is clearly apparent, but for some reason, it works pretty well on the alien hunter, seeing as that freshness is something he hasn't encountered in a while.
The divine entity should probably be more alarmed that he'd entirely forgotten that "code language" baloney until now, but when details come and go for you faster than a gust of wind, you tend to get used to it.]
I'm pretty sure you just told me to go choke on my own Dingle-Dandy, butchu know what? I'll let it slide.
[He finally takes this moment to kiss Hagakure on the forehead and deliver the affection he promised.
[Hagakure's laughing too, his heart soaring from the sound of Dandy's own laugh. It's so cute and surprisingly light for someone who can also pull out something deep and sultry on the other end of the spectrum. He's really happy to get to hear it in the wake of that low moment shared between the two of them.
He's still not quite sure what caused it, but he has learned tonight that for all of Dandy's goofiness and (seemingly) carefree charm, there's a darkness pulling him down that Hagakure doesn't fully understand. As much as he wants to understand, he needs to take it slow and tread carefully.
...these are two things that he is, admittedly, very bad at, but he's going to do his best to rise to the challenge.
The kiss on his forehead fills him with a pleasant sort of warmth- the kind that he feels when he's comfortable and safe. He returns it on Dandy's cheek, snuggling him close in the process.]
I was telling you that you're the brightest star in the sky. Maybe the universe, even. I dunno, though. I haven't gotten to explore that far.
...The wink was just that first part. Not the rambling after.

If you're not quite sure of what to say, there's always the ladies who speak another language!
Then you can just rely on those pretty eyes and killer smile.

A thought suddenly occurs to him as he listens to the advice being doled out...]
Oh, that's right. I could use the code language too.
[You know, the one Dandy was telling him about earlier in the night.
Once he catches Dandy's eye, he puts on his best flirty wink.]
Like that.

Dandy's been stalling, he knows.]
